Art class: water glass

A slightly chaotic class tonight (not that any have been particularly organised!) but I enjoyed being able to slow down from being frenetic. Our teacher painted a portrait of someone and then decided on the spur of the moment that we should all paint our water glasses. It was good to have two attempts, and I’m definitely learning the value of warming-up, and getting confident at painting without drawing in pencil first. The teacher prefers my second go on the right, although I’m fairly happy with both.

  1. Marmotte support says:

When doing free motion quilting using a sewing machine, we are advised to warm up on a bit of spare fabric before working on our main piece.

  2. I agree with you, they’re both good. Good enough to drink from 🙂
